The Public Works Department is the foundation of the City. The Department effectively and efficiently develops and maintains Raymore's infrastructure by providing essential services in the areas of civil engineering, maintenance of streets, water and sewer utilities, and fleet maintenance.

Public Works is comprised of two divisions:

The Engineering Division duties include:

• Infrastructure design
• Construction administration
• Inspections of subdivision streets, storm, water and sanitary sewer infrastructure
• Civil engineering services for the City

The Operations and Maintenance Division is comprised of four subdivisions:

• Streets
• Storm water
• Water and sewer utilities
• Fleet maintenance
