Property Tax Levy

The City's Finance Department is responsible for collecting and reporting on the property and sales taxes collected by the City. Below you will find the current property tax levies for Raymore residents as well as a breakdown of where those tax dollars are used.

Total tax levy for Raymore Residential is 8.1812 per $100 of the assessed value. 

Total tax levy for Raymore Commercial is 8.7212 per $100 of the assessed value.

*Sur-tax is only applied to commercially assessed real estate built before 1984. It is then distributed to all taxing entities.


Property tax received by the City is divided into three different budgets.

Assessed property values are determined by taking the market value, as determined by the County Assessor, times the assessment ratio. Assessment ratios are: commercial at 32%, residential at 19% and agricultural at 12%. Tax is paid on each $100 of assessed value. Property values are re-assessed biennially by the County Assessor and the County Collector receives and distributes the taxes to the various taxing authorities.
