Raymore police look forward to Shop with a Cop all year long! This program allows area children in need of a little extra help for the holidays to go shopping for gifts for themselves and loved ones with Raymore police officers.

Every December, each participating child is paired with an officer and is given a $100 spending allowance at the Raymore Walmart, with the only requirement being that they must pick out at least one gift for themselves.

Raymore police are growing out their Santa beards in November to raise money for the 2024 Shop with a Cop event. Each officer must donate at least $25 to the cause to nix the razor for the month and can keep the beard for an extra month if they donate at least $100. While it's really all about the kids, our officers DO enjoy a little friendly competition in seeing who can raise the most money in his or her name.

This program would not be possible without the support of our officers and community supporters like you! Are you ready to help us? Donations are tax-deductible through the Raymore Community Foundation, the City's 501(c)3 organization.

Make a donation by mail, in person at City Hall or online.

HISTORY OF SHOP WITH A COP

Chief Jim Wilson brought the Shop with a Cop program to Raymore in 2016, and that year Raymore police took 10 area children shopping. The program has grown each year, with our officers taking more than 60 children shopping in 2023, thanks to the generosity of local businesses and community members!
