The City of Raymore's Charter contains the rules which describe how the city functions, organizes itself, and makes the decisions that affect residents’ daily lives. The charter outlines what laws and rules may be adopted by City Council, what kind of services the public receives, and how tax dollars are collected and spent.

The Raymore Municipal Code compiles the most current regulations adopted by the city. Following adoption by the City Council, ordinances of a general and permanent nature are codified into the Municipal Code. Codification is completed twice a year. This code guides how the city is governed and is updated as the city grows and changes.

When ordinances have been adopted, but not yet incorporated into the online City Code, they will be available in the online City Code under the "New Laws" section.  These ordinances will be included in online search results.
