1. What licensing is required for businesses located in the city limits of Raymore?

Every business, including home-based businesses, located in the City limits are required to obtain an occupational license. The cost of the license is $100 per calendar year, with the cost prorating down June 1 by $5 per month.

Owners living in the City limits are required to provide proof of current paid personal property tax and also be current on real estate taxes and sales taxes, if applicable.

For construction contractors with two or more employees, a current certificate showing worker's compensation coverage must be submitted with the application.

For plumbers and electricians, a master's certificate, license from the City of Kansas City or Independence must be submitted.
